QBasic's Files Dictionary
QFD. It has 6OO installation filenames with definitions of the QuickBasic 4.5, the QuickBasic Extended 7.1 and both VisBasics for Ms-Dos. The files not only display the definitions, also how they can be used. 184 Kbs. The most interesting it's in the definitions of the executables that have options unknown for us.
Basic Compiler Options
BCO. Listing of the options of the three main compilers, QB, PDS and both VisBasics. The QuickBasic 4.5 (QB) recognize 14 options but does not respond to the screen short help /?, /h or /help, here you will be able to read 32 of those options.
Creating a User-defined Event
QuickBasic allows you to define your own event trap. When the event occurs, the Basic calls the routine that handles the trap, just as if the event were part of the QuickBasic language. Also see the Programmer's Guide.

QuickBasic 7.1 (aka QBX, QB71 or PDS)
This editor and compiler has a bigger capacity for strings and for programs larger than 640 kbs., the user-defined variables can have dimensions, it can use 1.20 Mbs. of expanded memory in the Isam programs, it can work in protected mode (with the Dlls) for the OS/2.
Some helps say that also can do work for the Windows. It's 99% compatible with the QuickBasic 4.5. A good download at least must have 5 Mbs. for not lacking of any file.

Visual Basic 1.00 Pro for Ms-Dos (aka Vbdos or VisBasic)
Editor and compiler that appeared after the QuickBasic 7.1, you can run in it all your programs of the previous QuickBasics and also you can put to your programs a visual environment, this means, to work with windows, scroll bars, commands and options buttons.
Listings, text frames, graphics, etcetera. All this in a Ms-Dos window. The codes are written with the known QuickBasics code but with more commands to be able handling the windows. It includes a program to learn it. 9.2 Mbs.

Dosdrop
With this program you click with your mouse right button in any directory in the Windows Explorer and immediatly you enter to the Ms-Dos in that directory. To uninstall it must be done by hand but its size is just 1.5 Kbs. It works in all Windows. Author:

choose the Drop to Dos option to take you to a command prompt

Helpmake 1.00
HelpMake is the program to handle the helps files of the Ms-Dos in general. It can handle for the QuickBasics, the VisBasics and other programs such as the QuickC, Help.com, Word, QuickPascal, QuickHelp, CodeView, Programmer's Workbench, etcetera.
You can modify them, correct them or expand them to your whim. Only it's included in the PDS, version 1.05.
